- Spring-Summer Moodboard 2024
It's that time of the year again! I know it was a little delayed, but I have exams and a couple concerts I'm playing so I've been really busy. Anyways, I've finally created my new moodboard! Here it is: I sent a poll that readers took (thank you all so much!), and the top responses were "floral" for the theme and "pastel" for the color scheme. Now, I think this may be a little longer than my normal posts describing moodboards, but this was honestly a very fun and interesting board to create, so let me walk you through it! First, I went color-scheme shopping. I found my scheme (look at the little color squares on the board), and while I felt it was on the darker edge of pastel, I really loved it, so I went with it. When picking my pictures, I tapped into fairycore a lot. Instead of just using floral prints, I tried to find things that incorporated flowers in other ways, like embroidery or texture. As I'm sure you all know, I adore fantasy - so there's a little vibe of that in there too. Ultimately, I didn't put in as many pictures as I thought I would, but when I printed the ones I had out, they just had a perfect vibe and I didn't want to add things that wouldn't fit it. I even have a playlist for this. I think everyone knows I'm a swiftie, so it's all Taylor Swift :) Castles Crumbling, Taylor Swift Love Story, Taylor Swift I hate it here, Taylor Swift Wildest Dreams, Taylor Swift Cassandra, Taylor Swift Ivy, Taylor Swift Long Story Short, Taylor Swift Call it What You Want, Taylor Swift Please check out my other moodboards at https://www.aryanasfashion.com/blog/categories/fashion-inspo-moodboards! And keep browsing my site. I'm still very busy with exams, but I hope to have a couple new pieces created + posted soon! Thank you guys SO MUCH for reading! What do you think of my moodboard? Tell me in the comments!

- Happy Valentine’s Day!
Valentine's Day is a time of love, red, and white. So of course, I had to make a new outfit to celebrate. My valentine this year was tests, studying, and a business proposal plan (unrelated to aryanasfashion.com). Anyway, even with my subpar Valentine, I still wanted to spend Valentine's Day in STYLE! So, without further ado, I give you what I've dubbed my Queen of Hearts dress! I LOVE the sleeves on this dress...it has a medieval design but with fantasy colors. If I were to make another (more intentional) Heart Queen dress, what should I do/incorporate? Tell me in the comments!
- Happy New Year!
Happy 2024 Everyone! Now that we're a few days in (25 to be accurate!), I really wanted to make a post about all the things I'm THRILLED to make and show you guys! So, first off, I wanted to start with a short "trailer" about what's going on this year. You'll notice that there's mainly old pictures, because those are some of the concept I'm going to expand upon! However, there is ONE sneak peak picture of my current project and one that I just made. Here's the trailer: For Christmas AND new years' this season, I made this dress: It's a beautiful red dress with black velvet sleeves and skirt. Additionally, in the first few days of 2024 I've been on a sewing kick. I've made FIVE outfits this year! Here they are: This one looks very Wednesday-Addams-ish. I paired it with a cream sweater and braided my hair. This second one is happiness-inspired. I love the flowers and the color. This third one is Lucy-Gray inspired from the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I paired this with my essential long black dress (this), and it looked great! This one is sparks-fly and speak now themed. I love the glitter on the dark purple (although it did get everywhere *haha*). And this final piece was my mannequin-less challenge. I fully sight-measured, cut, and sewed this. It's super comfy and well-fitted. Any ideas/tips for 2024? Tell me in the comments!
- My Newest Obsession…Tote Bags!!!!
Over the past couple months, I've been making Tote Bags out of any scraps of fabric I can find. I've made a bunch so far! This first one wasn't technically made in the last few months (I did a post about it!) but I couldn't resist! Harry Potter, deathly hallows, black and gold? I love it! This was my bag at school last year. The second one is my Pumpkin tote. I LOVE this so much, I used it for a couple months straight in the fall! Its pumpkin print and black bottom and handles made it super functional and fun. The third one has a ZIPPER! It's fantasy- and ravenclaw-esque, and I carried it for a few weeks. Also, it looks like Midnights, enough said. The last one is my current bag. It's silver-and-blue (more midnights/ravenclaw, yay!) and it has "We never go out of Style" on the back. It's the perfect size and it's awesome. In all of them there's a sneak peak of my new dress! Which one is your favorite? And what do you think of tote bags (for school/work and in general))?
- New Moodboard!!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the images. I've created a new moodboard for inspiration, and it's better than ever. It even has a name (and a time period, which is fancy). So introducing: the Fall-Winter 2023 Moodboard! My new board is color-scheme based. That's actually how I made it - I found a color palette online (the little squares of paper). Then I found dresses that matched the colors. Overall, I love it! And shoutout to my incredible, talented friend who made the logo. To find out more about my inspirations, check out my Fashion Inspo + Moodboards category on my blog! Thank you all for reading!
- Introducing... the Wall of Design
A lot of you might have seen this picture on the home section of my blog. Because it's very special, I decided to explain this thing, which I have proudly named the Wall of Design. The Wall of Design is many of my favorite fashion drawings, which I ripped out of notebooks and taped onto the wall. Although it doesn't show it here, it eventually reached the ceiling! I spent hours making (and hours more taping with no ladder) my drawings. Unfortunately, it fell down and I couldn't get it back up, so I took it down, but I am currently working on new drawings to make the Wall of Design II! Now that you know about the Wall as a whole, try to find the drawing on the far right side that has a black top and a crazy, super long cape-skirt that's red and black. It's the first on the right, fourth up. Picture it with a black and silver top and skirt. Sound familiar? That's because that's the drawing that inspired the (I like to say iconic) black and silver with tiered skirt outfit. I changed it a bit so it's better for everyday use, but the layering is still the same (the idea for the layering thing goes to Cruella). Overall, if this was counted as one of my creations it'd be my favorite, and I can't wait for version II!
- Diwali
Diwali is the Indian/Hindu festival of lights. I didn't make a dress for the occasion, but I did do a sketch that I wanted to show: It's a silver-and-navy lehenga top and skirt. It's typically Indian patterned but it has some Western fusion, such as the splotches of grey/white. The ruffling on the top and bracelets make it traditional, and overall it'd be very fun to make and wear. What do you think? Tell me in the comments!!
- Halloween
Hi Everyone!! I know it's December, but I did really want to put out a picture of my halloween costume. This year I was Melian from Lord of the Rings (I'm a HUGE LotR nerd). She's one of the wisest Maiar, queen of Doriath, and the mother of Luthien, and known to have the most beautiful voice, even of all the Ainur. She's also an ancestor of Galadriel, Elrond, and Aragorn. Melian is a queen of the forest, and it is said Galadriel learned a lot from her, so I decided to choose colors that the elves of Lothlorien would wear. Thus, I ended up picking greens and grays, and I decided that her cloak could be a sort of forerunner to the elven cloaks the Fellowship is given. I also wanted to choose something with drapey sleeves (this seems to be a custom among queens and ladies in Middle Earth), and something that showed her love of nature and integration into elven culture, but also something befitting her title as Queen of Doriath. Thus, I settled on this piece. A flowing green-and-gray dress has ivy leaves wrapped about it, ending at the neck, and long green and black sleeves add to a mystical look. The cloak is black with shimmery sequins. Overall, I got a LOT of compliments on this, and I really loved it. Do you have costume ideas for Halloween next year? Tell me in the comments!

- Color Spotlight: Orange
Orange is my favorite color, and I have so many beautiful pieces in this passionate, optimistic color. Here's 4 pieces in this (amazing, bestest) color! This is my Happy Holi skirt, with a patch-quilt style skirt. It's Indian, but simple enough that it can be worn everywhere. This pink and orange dress has a skirt of soft orange velvet, which may be one of my favorite fabrics ever. It's beautiful and textured, and perfectly orange. These orange velvet gloves are a standard for me, and can be paired with a neutral outfit for a pop of color. This fire dress has beautiful orange tulle - and is paired with orange velvet gloves. I love the orange accents, and though the base of the dress is red, it definitely deserves its place in this orange spotlight. Overall? Orange is a beautiful, versatile color. I lean towards brighter shades, but there are so many good ones! Which piece is your favorite? Tell me in the comments!
