I've been sewing clothes for about a year, so I wanted to show my first designs with my recent ones, and compare them.
One Year Ago

Although this isn't technically handmade, I still count this as my first piece of handmade clothing. I added the paw print 'apron' onto the skirt and a pocket of the same fabric (my arms cover it).
Now

I'm not actually wearing this dress, which I guess just show how much more serious I became. It's on an actual dress form (I actually just made the dress the day I got the mannequin!), and it's so much better. Apart from the obvious fact that this is fully handmade (I handmade other clothes around the time I made the 1 year ago dress, that was just made before I fully handmade anything), it's super formfitting in the bodice with an A-line skirt and it has a bit more of a fancy design, it being a one-shoulder.
Comparison
For only being made a year apart, these are so different. The earlier dress was unfinished and rough, but the one shoulder dress is clean and hemmed. The styles are very different, the former is a simple summer dress with apron skirt while the latter is an elegant red velvet one shoulder dress, although both are creative and bold.
In conclusion? While my bold style has stayed mostly the same (with a few adaptations, of course!), the dress I made later was more elegant and professional versus the more amateurish casual one.
